Today is the first day in a long time where I've sat down and, well, blogged.
Y'know, like how those attention-seeking douchebags do it on the internets.
Yay me?
I'm also working on rounding up all my writing so there will be a central repository for it that isn't behind a google-proof wall.
On that note, one outlet that has worked for me in the past has been posting to the Gurochan Literature* board. Like I recently did with this story: Videogame 2
But, it seems that things drop off of that and vanish in fairly short order. This is why the above story is "Videogame 2" but I haven't got a link to "Videogame" on Gurochan, just on the DGF (here btw: Videogame)
So, while it's nice to be able to post to a fairly public site, I would prefer a more robust host that won't freak out the first time I post a story about girls getting their boobs torn off with a lawnmower.
Oh, right, I haven't finished that one... Give me a minute!

Speaking from experience, I've been running my site (http://tsade.com/) and its forum for a number of years on Dreamhost and, despite actually going through the files once or twice, they have never tried to remove it. And I have a lot more than just debreasting and cann in my stories.
ReplyDeleteA bunch of porn writers, including Shon Richards, have migrated from blogspot over to them because of their recent policies. WordPress is pretty good at that, plus you have a lot of flexibility there.
